We set up the practice in 2015 after years of working in finance and accounting roles, and realising that so many business owners don’t need more jargon or judgement — they need someone normal, supportive and capable in their corner.
We believe accountancy should feel approachable, human and even a little bit enjoyable. Or at the very least, not something you dread.

Jen’s accountancy journey began back in 2005, training in a small local practice before moving into industry as a management accountant while qualifying with AAT and studying for CIMA.
But Jen isn’t just about spreadsheets and systems.
She’s deeply creative and can often be found in her art studio, surrounded by half-finished projects, experimenting with different crafts and creative ideas. She understands first-hand what it’s like to run a business that’s led by passion, intuition and creativity — because she lives in that world too.
That’s why Jen has a real passion for supporting female business owners, especially those who are creative, soul-led and doing things a little differently. She gets the highs, the overwhelm, the bursts of inspiration and the admin avoidance — and she knows how to help bring structure and clarity without killing the joy.
Andy started his accountancy career in 2009 and brings a calm, analytical mind to the practice. He is an AAT qualified Accountant and brings a wealth of experience in different finance roles.
Outside of work, he’s usually found tinkering with something — woodwork, outdoor crafts, carving sticks, or experimenting with home-brewed wine and homemade chutneys. He loves understanding how things work and making systems better, simpler and more efficient.
That curiosity and problem-solving mindset carries straight into his work with clients. Andy is particularly brilliant at supporting people right at the start of their business journeys, helping them understand what’s required, what actually matters, and putting systems in place that feel manageable and realistic — not overwhelming.
Between us, we now have two decades of experience across bookkeeping, accounting, management accounting, accounting software and business process improvement.
But more importantly, we work in a way that feels supportive, clear and grounded.
We don’t do stuffy boardrooms or talking down to people. We explain things in plain English, meet you where you are, and help untangle the mess without judgement.
